So I stayed at the Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit - it just opened like 10 days ago! And get this, it's actually the first Fairmont in Thailand. I was there for three nights in an Gold Deluxe Room. The hotel is on a Stay 3 Pay 2 deal as part of their opening, making it a little over 1,100 USD for 3 nights - which I thought was great value give it includes Gold lounge access.
Fun fact: this building wasn't actually new - it used to be Windsor Suites before they totally renovated it into the Fairmont we see now. So yeah, the hotel itself feels super new, like you can barely tell it was ever anything else in the lobby or rooms. But when you're actually in the guest room, you can kinda feel some of the old building's layout limitations still hanging around.

My check-in experience was actually pretty nice. The moment my car stopped, a concierge was right there to grab my luggage. The front desk was pretty empty, so I didn't bother making a special trip to the Club for check-in. I just sat down and they brought me a welcome drink right away, and the check-in was super quick. They asked for a 3500 THB deposit per night, so I put 7000 on my card for two nights.

For a place that just opened like 10 days ago, I'd say the service is already pretty solid.

The Gold Deluxe room I stayed in was about 42sqm. Gotta be honest though, the room wasn't really my favorite part. It sounds pretty big, but the layout didn't feel as spacious as I'd hoped, and the bathroom only had one sink. The room itself didn't have as many standout features as the public areas did.

But the thing I loved most about this place was The Club Fairmont on the 14th floor. This isn't your typical executive lounge, the f&b quality is spectacular. They've got a separate bar and a billiards room, and the whole space more feels like a private club.

I had afternoon tea there on my first afternoon, and the desserts were amazing - not too sweet at all. Then I went back again on day two just for breakfast.

The breakfast buffet wasn't huge - you mostly had to order off the menu, and the portions were pretty small. But they definitely put more care into the food than the restaurant downstairs. My absolute favorite was the Wagyu beef fried rice, which came with actual Wagyu beef and egg yolk on top.

If I had to pick between breakfast at the Club and the restaurant downstairs (Harper's), I'd definitely go with the Club every time.
Harper's was actually a nice surprise for dinner though - way better than their breakfast.

The public facilities are another strong point for this hotel. The pool is massive, and there's a separate kids' splash area and a Kids Club right next to it. The gym is even more impressive - probably one of the biggest I've seen in Bangkok hotels. It's got so many Technogym machines that it almost feels like a professional gym you'd find outside.

But here's the thing - the hotel isn't fully open yet. They're still opening up a bar, a Supper Club, and a high-floor restaurant later on, so what I stayed in was basically just the "early opening version."
The room layout definitely isn't the hotel's strongest suit, but the service, the Club, the gym, the family-friendly facilities, and the food were all way better than I expected before I checked in. I'll find time to write up a more detailed review - but very excited to be recommending this hotel to clients. The current Stay 3 Pay 2 deal provides incredible value if you have plans to visit Bangkok soo. If you're interested in a quote, submit a request below.
