Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 May 2026

MT Luxury Travel (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by Michael Ng, an independent travel advisor based in New South Wales, Australia, working within the Fora Travel host agency network. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use mtluxurytravel.com or engage us as your travel advisor, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. Information we collect

We only collect personal information that we reasonably need to provide travel advisory services, manage bookings, and run this website. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

  • Identification details: full name, date of birth, passport number and country of issue, nationality, and other government-issued identification required by hotels, airlines, or other travel suppliers.
  • Contact details: email address, phone number, postal or billing address, and preferred method of contact.
  • Travel preferences: destinations, dates, traveling companions, room and bed preferences, dietary requirements, accessibility needs, loyalty program numbers, and any other information you choose to share to help us plan your trip.
  • Payment information: credit card details and billing information, which are submitted to and processed by Fora Travel, Inc. or directly by the relevant travel supplier. We do not store full credit card numbers on our own systems.
  • Communications: emails, WhatsApp messages, and other correspondence you send us, including details about a trip or feedback after travel.
  • Website usage information: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, approximate location derived from IP, and similar information collected automatically through cookies and analytics tools (see Section 5).

If you provide us information about other travelers (for example, family members you are booking for), you confirm that they are aware of and consent to our handling of their information as described in this Policy.

2. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • research, plan, quote, book, and manage your travel arrangements;
  • share required details with hotels, airlines, ground operators, insurers, and other suppliers so they can deliver the services you have booked;
  • process payments, refunds, and chargebacks via Fora Travel and the relevant suppliers;
  • communicate with you about your enquiries, bookings, itineraries, and any changes or disruptions;
  • send you occasional updates, partner promotions, or trip ideas you have asked to receive (you can unsubscribe at any time);
  • improve our website, content, and services, including through aggregated analytics;
  • comply with our legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations and to exercise or defend legal claims.

3. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with parties that need it to provide the services you have requested or to support our business operations:

  • Fora Travel, Inc.: our host agency, which provides the booking platform, processes payments, issues itineraries and invoices, manages commission accounting, and provides advisor support. Information shared with Fora is handled under Fora’s own privacy policy, available at foratravel.com/privacy-policy.
  • Travel suppliers: hotels, airlines, cruise lines, tour operators, transfer providers, insurers, and other suppliers we book on your behalf. These suppliers are independent controllers of your information and apply their own privacy policies.
  • Service providers: trusted vendors that help us operate the business, including email, messaging, cloud storage, website hosting, analytics, and payment processing providers.
  • Legal, regulatory, and safety: government authorities, regulators, courts, or advisors where disclosure is required by law, in response to a valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MT Luxury Travel, our clients, or others.
  • Business transfers: if our business is reorganized, sold, or its assets transferred, your information may be transferred to the relevant party as part of that transaction, subject to the same protections described here.

4. International transfers

Because we book travel worldwide and use a US-based host agency (Fora Travel, Inc.), your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, or accessed from countries outside Australia, including the United States and the country in which your travel takes place. The data-protection laws of those countries may differ from those of Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure that overseas recipients handle your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, including by relying on our host agency’s contractual safeguards and by limiting what is shared to what each supplier needs to deliver the booked service.

5. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, measure how the site is used, and improve its performance. The categories of cookies we use are:

  • Strictly necessary: required for core site functionality such as page navigation and form submissions.
  • Analytics: including Google Analytics, which uses cookies and similar identifiers to understand how visitors find and use our site, on an aggregated basis.
  • Functional: used to remember choices you make and personalize your experience.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some features of the site. You can also opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes set out in this Policy, and to comply with our legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations (typically up to seven years for booking and financial records under Australian record-keeping rules). When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

7. Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • request access to the personal information we hold about you;
  • request correction of information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading;
  • withdraw your consent to marketing communications at any time, by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or contacting us;
  • request deletion of your personal information where we are not required to retain it for legal or contractual reasons;
  • raise a privacy concern or complaint with us using the contact details below.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, additional rights may apply to you (such as the right to data portability, to object to certain processing, or to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information). We do not sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure, including through encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and reliance on Fora Travel’s payment processing infrastructure rather than storing card details ourselves. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and you share information with us at your own risk.

9. Children's privacy

Our services are intended for adults 18 years and older. We only collect information about minors when their parent or legal guardian provides it as part of a booking. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, our suppliers, or applicable law. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Where the changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to bring them to your attention.
